2nd Friday Shabbat Service w/ Art Zygeilbaum
Son of Holocaust survivors, Dr. Arthur (Art) Zygielbaum will join B’nai Israel’s monthly 2nd Friday Shabbat Service to discuss his deeply personal trip to Poland to connect with his roots.

About the event
Traveling with his wife and son, and accompanied by Beth Dotan from the UNL Harris Center for Judaic Studies, they visited cities, towns, and villages where Art's parents and grandparents lived. They toured four concentration camps, several museums dedicated to Polish Jewish history, and were invited to the Presidential Palace to meet with the Polish Secretary of State (due to Art’s grandfather, Szmul Mordecai (Arthur) Zygielbojm being considered a national hero), and were accorded a personal tour of Chelm by the mayor of the city.
