About the event
In 1987, Kelly wrote a poem, grappling with the memories of the Holocaust. At 13 years old, she wrote: “From now on, we must be the teachers.” She dedicated the piece to her grandparents, Helena and Walter Tichauer, and Minia and Ben Maurer. All four were Holocaust survivors. Join us on Friday April 10th when Kelly will lead a thought-provoking discussion on the complexities of inter-generational trauma, drawing from her graduate research in Holocaust and Genocide Studies and her personal family history.
