About the event
Jessica will compare the WWII "Monuments Men" to the new Civil Affairs program in the protection of cultural property during armed conflict and emergency, highlighting the link
between cultural genocide and biological genocide, using an example of the Holocaust and the destruction of Jewish artifacts, museums, and libraries. She believes that protecting cultural heritage is not just about saving objects, but about protecting identity, memory, and ultimately people.
